Carolina Romero-Vasquez
In my work, I try to represent the profound beauty of Earth and the enchanting allure of the ocean. These natural wonders are enhanced with glowing colors, evidence to nature’s ability to shine in the most silent and subtle ways. Through my art, I aim to capture this silent glow, emphasizing how nature’s beauty is ever-present, even in its quietest moments.
Nature and humans are intertwined, connected as one within the vast universe. Our actions, even if they might seem small or insignificant, ripple through the environment, affecting the Earth, nature, and ourselves. This interconnectedness highlights the responsibility we share in taking care of the world around us.
The woman figure in the background serves as a witness to nature’s splendor. She symbolizes our collective consciousness, a guardian of the ocean’s beauty and its vibrant, glowing colors. Her presence is a reminder that everything we do, even when we believe no one is watching, has an impact on the environment. Without her—without our awareness and care—the radiant colors of nature would fade, leaving our world scarce of the glow that makes it so extraordinary.
In conclusion, my piece is a call of awareness to recognize human’s role in maintaining the Earth’s beauty. It is a way to honor the silent, yet powerful, connection between nature and us, urging people to act with mindfulness and reverence for the world we share.
